Douglas Fisichella began his studies of Metaphysics and world religions in his early 20's. Having been raised in a household without dogmatic assertions about religion, he was not subjected to the usual insistence on one specific faith. His father Anthony J. Fisichella was one of the country's foremost proponents of the Esoteric Sciences. He was also a student of the world's religions and a biblical scholar. This early exposure to the open study of various religious systems left its impact in a non-judgmental and assimilating attitude toward all spiritual teachings. Being what he refers to as a casual student for much of his life, these teachings lay behind the scenes as an influence, but not a focus until more recent years. The current upheaval in the world seemingly centered on religious differences awakened what had been slumbering inside of him - the real student. Intelligent Design is a concept that considers life on earth the result of some intelligent cause, rather than from some undirected process, such as natural selection. It is the name of a movement consisting of a body of scientists, philosophers, and other scholars who seek evidence of design in nature. Those who oppose Intelligent Design consider it creationism, and most of these opponents promote evolution instead. This battle of ideas is often called the Creation-evolution Controversy. But is it creation verses evolution, or the Bible verses reason, or religion verses reason? There are many who claim that the Bible is not reasonable because the Creation is not scientifically logical, and that evolution is not included in Genesis I. The key to making the Bible reasonable is interpreting Genesis I from the logical standpoint of its intelligent design, instead of the Creationist interpretation. This is a report on the emperical detection of intelligent design of the Bible that reveals the Bible's scientifically logical foundation and reveals reason to be a partner to faith instead of an opponent. Since the creationist view of Intelligent Design and the evolutionist view are both theories and not yet proven, there is room for another viewpoint-The Intelligent Design of the Bible. Doug Rokke earned his B.S. in Physics at Western Illinois University followed by his M.S. and Ph.D. in physics and technology education at the University of Illinois. His military career has spanned 4 decades to include combat duty during the Vietnam War and Gulf War 1. Doug served as a member of the 3rd U.S. Army Medical Command's Nuclear, Biological, and Chemical (NBC) teaching, medical response, and special operations team, the 3rd U.S. Army captured equipment project team, and with the 3rd U.S. Army Depleted Uranium Assessment team during Gulf War 1(Operation Desert Storm). He was the U.S. Army's Depleted Uranium Project director from 1994 - 1995. He developed the congressionally mandated education and training materials and wrote U.S. Army Regulation 700-48, the U.S. Army PAM 700-48, and the U.S. Army's common task for DU incidents. Doug has taught nuclear, biological and chemical warfare, hazardous materials, and emergency medicine for over 20 years to both civilian and military personnel. Dr. Rokke was one of the original authors of the 1982 EDRAT (Emergency Disaster Response Assistance Team) proposal which formed the foundation for today's National Guard CSD teams and the Illinois CERT Teams. In preparation for the 1996 Atlanta Olympics, he wrote and taught the original Chemical / Biological Counter-terrorism Course for civilian emergency responders that is now the federal 120 city and Department of Justice course then served on the emergency response team located at Bermingham, Alabama . Dr. Rokke serves or has served as an advisor with the U.S. Centers of Disease Control; U.S. Department of Defense; U.S. National Academy of Sciences; U.S. Institute of Medicine; U.S Senate; U.S. House of Representatives; U.S. Department of Transportation; U.S. Federal Aviation Administration; U.S. Department of Defense; U.S. General Accounting Office; U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs; British Royal Society; British House of Lords and House of Commons; United Nations; U.S. President William J. He has been an advisor and on-screen expert for numerous television documentaries on effects of nuclear, biological, and chemical warfare and depleted uranium with CBS; ABC; NBC, CNN, History Channel; A & E; PBS; Discovery channel, BBC; CBC; Gary Null & Associates; the Power Hour; and German, French, Japanese, Australian, Italian, Spanish, and Greek television networks. Dr. Rokke has taught undergraduate and graduate courses in environmental science, environmental engineering, nuclear physics, and emergency management and was a staff physicist at the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign for 19 years (retired from UIUC). Imam Omar Hazim is the Imam of the Islamic Center of Topeka. He is the Islamic advisor to the Kansas Dept. of Corrections, and has served in this position since 1990. Hazim accepted Islam in 1962 under the leadership of the Honorable Elijah Muhammad. He served as a minister under Elijah Muhammad's son Minister Nathaniel Muhammad. Afterward he served directly for Elijah Muhammad as a minister. He has been a student of Imam W. Deen Mohammed since 1975. Imam Hazim is a builder by trade, and has helped to establish many mosques and Islamic Centers in the Kansas City, and Topeka, area over the past 47 years. He is also one of the founders of the Islamic Center of Topeka. He is a member of The Midland Islamic Council. He is a member of the Islamic Society of North America and a member of the American Society of Muslims. He was the first Muslim to give the invocation to the Kansas House of Representatives and Senate on March 9, 1995. Hazim served on the board of directors for Interfaith of Topeka Inc. for seven years. He has also been associated with Interfaith for more than 20 years. Hazim wrote an article that appeared in the Muslim Journal, which is an international publication on Jan. 20, 1995, entitled, Contributions of Islam to a Pluralistic Society. Over the years, he has written many articles for the Topeka Capital-Journal.
